Photo A Day 45, 46 & 47

The next images from my Photo A Day project.

MONDAY 30TH MAY/ 45 - FLOWERS

For my wedding bouquet I decided that I wasn't going to have fresh flowers. Instead I was going to make a fabric bouquet. This is one of the prototypes my Gran and I made. I love still having my bouquet and all the small flowers that we made as experiments.

TUESDAY 31ST MAY/ 46 - RED

I bought this wall hanging in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul it was made from off cuts of material left over from making saris. The bright red colours drew me to it. I really liked the detailed patterns and the simplicity of the red and gold colour.

WEDNESDAY 1ST JUNE/ 47 - QUEEN STREET

One of my photography tutors told us that we should 'always see the photo' even when we don't have our cameras with us. This was an opportunity that I saw as soon as I came down the stairs to the platform Queen Street train station. My photo a day project has meant that I am carrying my camera with me all the time, allowing me to capture more of the images I can see during the day.

  1. Nice! Looks very cinematic with the thick black borders it creates top and bottom.
