I got an email from Alison about her and John's wedding mid September for their wedding on the 28th September!
This lovely couple spent only two weeks planning their wedding, and they still had a lovely laid back and romantic day. They got married at Park Circus registry office in Glasgow with their families, followed by a big party with friends joining them in St Vincent Street Bowling Club.
This was a real Scottish affair with kilts, dancing, Irn Bru and Tunnocks tea cakes!
Alison's 'old' was her engagement ring which originally belonged to her Mum's Aunt and had been passed down through her family. Her 'new' was her fab grey suede shoes! Her 'borrowed' was her wedding dress from one of her friends and her 'blue' was her toenails, which were painted by her sister!
The table decoration also came from her Aunt's house. They had vintage table cloths on each table with cut flowers and tea lights in jam jars.
Alison and John did their first dance to 'I feel love' by Donna Summer, which was brilliant!
This wedding was lovely to be a part of, and it just shows that you don't have to plan your wedding for years for it still to be an amazing day and can enjoy the hottest weather of the Summer at the end of September!!
